Club History
PROBUS is a Rotary sponsored non-fundraising Association where active retirees join together in a non-political, non-sectarian International Club. Local clubs meet regularly with opportunities for members to engage their minds, expand and share interests and enjoy each others' friendship.
Our monthly two hour General Meeting provides an opportunity for fun, friendship and fellowship, to communicate events and other business matters and to be entertained by visiting Guest Speakers on a wide variety of interesting topics
Our Activities include Walking, Morning and Afternoon teas, Theatre, Movies, Dine Outs, Fine Dining, Book Exchange, Bus Trips, scrabble, Craft and Happy Hour. see Calendar
2013/2014
The Rotary Club of Monash Inc conducted an Interest Meeting on April 16th, 2013 that was attended by 33 prospective members. It was decided there was sufficient interest to form the Pinewood Combined Probus Club and to meet at the Nottinghill/Pinewood Tennis Club on the second Thursday of each month.
A committee of six volunteers was formed to manage the Club consisting of the President Ken James,, Secretary Jill James, Treasurer Rob Evans, Membership Officer Tricia Fitzgerald, Newsletter Editor Peter Lee and Activities Co-Ordinator Anna Kijek. Jack Oakleigh was appointed Vice President in June. At each Annual General Meeting all positions are spilled and new Members are elected to the Committee.
Application was made to Probus South Pacific to formally Accredit the Pinewood Combined Probus Club and was granted on 9th May with 56 members.
At the June, 2013 General Meeting it was resolved to adopt a Constitution and By-Laws to have a membership of 80 and endeavour to have a gender balance of 60/40 and 85% Monash Residents. Joining Fees were set at $30.00 and membership fees $35.00
At the October Committee Meeting Jack Oakleigh retired and Rex Markby was appointed Vice President
At the December 2013 General Meeting, the Club resolved to have the Club Incorporated, to move the General Meetings from April 2014 to Mount Waverley Youth Centre at 45 Miller Crescent Mount Waverley and to adopt the Privacy, Risk and Tours Policies.
The Club was granted Incorporation on 14th of January 2014
The March 2014 PSP declared membership was 78 with the Annual General Meeting resolving to increase the membership to 90.
2014/2015
At the 2014 AGM the following committee was elected, President Rex Markby, Vice President Eric Dixon, Secretary Rosemary Phillips, Treasurer Pat Howell, Membership Officer Lynda Rogasch, Newsletter Editor Jill James and Activity Co-ordinator Reg Morrell
The April 2014 General meeting was the first meeting at Mount Waverley Youth Centre
At the July 2014 General Meeting the Web-site was launched.
At the August 2014 General Meeting the Club Committee was increased by three including the Immediate Past President Ken James, Assistant Secretary Wilma McLean and Web-Master Ray Windmill
November 17, 2014 the Club conducted the Probus Association of Victoria Golf Challenge with members Barry Little and Russell Seadon winning the Men's Challenge Cup.

2015/2016
The March 2015 PSP declared membership was 90 with the Annual General Meeting resolving to increase the membership to 100.
At the 2015 AGM the following committee was elected, President Eric Dixon, Vice President Graeme Keeshan, Secretary Rosemary Phillips, Assistant Secretary Louise Burch, Treasurer Pat Howell, Membership Officer Lynda Rogasch, Newsletter Editor Joan Foyle, Activity Co-ordinator Reg Morrell, Web Master Ray Windmill and Immediate Past President Rex Markby.

2016/2017
The March 2016 membership was 100
At the 2016 AGM the following committee was elected, President Graeme Keeshan, Secretary Louise Burch, Assistant Secretary Rosemary Phillips, Treasurer Pat Howell, Membership Officer Lynda Rogasch, Activity Co-ordinator Colin Barton and Immediate Past President Eric Dixon. Jill James took on the role of Vice President part way through the year.
Joining Fees were set at $30.00 and membership fees $35.00
The club enjoyed another successful year with 118 activities, including the monthly members meeting.
2017/2018

The Vice President is Reg Morrell.

Covid lockdowns 31/3/20 to 12/5/20, 9/7/20 to 27/19/20 and 13/2/21 to 17/2/21 severely curtailed activities, ten of the monthly General Meetings were cancelled
The restrictions relating to the Covid-19 virus caused all activities to cease on March 19th. Zoom Committee meetings commenced in May and activities in July. Regular Zoom Book Club commenced in September and coffee mornings and Happy hours in October
2021/2022

Covid lockdown 28/5/21 to 10/6/21, 16/7/21 to 27/7/21 and 5/8/21 to 21/10/21 severely curtailed activities with six General Meetings cancelled
The restrictions relating to the Covid-19 virus caused many activities to cancelled and then were recommence when covid protocols allowed. Zoom Committee meetings and regular Zoom Book Club were held throughout the year.
2022/2023
The March 2022 membership was 94 with 3 on the Wait List
